To build successful product communication with technical descriptions, you need a deep understanding of the product and communication. This course will take a look at intercepting new trends and potential clients who are looking for exclusive products, searching for items that are unusual and uniquely divergent from the collections of famous brands.

This course will introduce students to the art and science of trend forecasting and to the world of styling and fashion photography. Communicating through images is a must in the fashion industry; the trend forecaster is a specialist in predicting and forecasting the future of a specific area or field. The trend forecaster's work is based on various key moments: Research (analyzing the spirit of the time), Reporting (utilizing direct sources through and interview format), Application (introducing trends within a brand's identity or a product's lifecycle), Styling (art, architecture, trend watching, cultural research and iconography), and Photography (a mirror with a memory). All of these disciplines are necessary tools used to represent the attractive otherness of a brand or of a fashion magazine. No dictionary, no academic papers, just dematerialized characters and materialized illusions, thoughts and emotions. Trend forecasting and Styling is a visionary and practical activity, which aims to aestheticize and drive the fashion business

DESCRIPTION

This course aims at providing participants with the knowledge and application of innovative coolhunting analysis and observation techniques.

A deep observation of what is around us is a starting point for defining future strategies; for this reason, coolhunting becomes an alternative research technique, easy to be integrated with other disciplines. To gain the skills for coolhunting with a design thinking approach means to define a hypothesis that can represent a shared vision for designers, managers and researchers.

This vision should provide accurate and complete data from primary research, as well as from webbased research. It is important to provide an indepth analysis of the socio-cultural phenomena connected to a given geographical area. Using a design thinking approach, it is thus necessary to gain the ability to interpret and give a meaning to reality, occasions, behaviors, and objects moving around.
