Admission Procedure

Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) maintains an open door admissions policy and constantly strives to provide programs beneficial for students. Applicants are considered for admission without regard to race, religion or national origin.Admissions are done according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (orders N.224;29.12.2011).

Tuition fees for 2016-2017 academic year:
    Faculty of Medicine:
  • English Medium - tuition fee: 7.000 US$ per year;
  • Russian Medium - tuition fee: 4.000 US$ per year;
  • Georgian Medium - tuition fee: 4.000 US$ per year (for International students).
    US Medical Doctor Program:
  • Tuition fee for International students: 12 000 US$ per year
  • Tuition fee for Georgian Citizens - 8000 GEL.
HOW TO APPLY

Admission on English and Russian mediums programs are done through the Entry Interview or qualifying tests.

On English-medium programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy admissions are twice per year:

  • Registration of Applicants for Fall semester 2016 is opened now till September 1, 2016  (education starts on October 17, 2016)
  • Registration of Applicants for Spring semester 2017 will start on November 1, 2016 till February 1, 2017  (education will start on March 6, 2017)

Registration is free, only on-site, by presenting the original passport and its Georgian translation.

Citizens of EU, USA, UK, Israel  and Ex-Soviet countries, may apply individually. Students from Asia, Africa and Central America should apply through the network of legal representatives- agencies, working in their region.

In the frames of the contracts between TSMU and recruiting companies, students can be selected locally by the TSMU recruiting companies after passing the qualifying test conducted by the recruited agencies locally.
