About Course
2 Years
Part-time | Intake month (subject to validation)
The MSc in Laser Dentistry is the first of its kind in the UK and is a brand-new opportunity at DMU. The course explores the innovative use of lasers in dentistry as a minimally invasive complementary approach and is designed to enhance current dentistry practice.
The programme will be delivered as a blended learning course, to include both online learning and approximately 3 one-week face-to-face teaching blocks per year. This will include taught didactic lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical demonstration sessions that will help you gain hands-on experience in the use of lasers in a non-clinical setting, on selected in-vitro hard and soft tissues.
Aimed at professionals already in the industry; the theme of the course is strongly representative of clinical aspects of laser use and would ideally suit those who work in this area of healthcare or research. Applicants should already be familiar with and have access to, or own a laser device for use in clinical dentistry and have some proven experience of use.
