About Course

  • 4 Years
  • Full-time

  • This degree with integrated foundation is ideal for those who are passionate about fashion innovation and aspire to start new trends and revolutionise the fashion industry.   The integrated foundation has been specially designed to give you the introductory knowledge and skills needed to confidently progress to degree-level study.

In your foundation year, you will develop a broad understanding of the creative industries, touching on aspects of fashion design, fashion marketing, illustration, interior design and graphic design.    Once you have successfully completed your foundation year, you will progress to the first year of BA (Hons) Fashion Design.

At degree level, you will focus on the practical design aspects of the fashion industry. During these three years, you’ll develop highly innovative catwalk collections that demonstrate your unique design philosophy and technical excellence.

You will learn how to use a range of methods and tools, developing a strong eye for contemporary and future fashion trends. There will be plenty of opportunities to work on live projects, including fashion shows and shoots, so you can gain practical industry experience.

Each December, we host a professional fashion show. This is your platform to present your work on a catwalk using professional models. In your final year, you will participate in the Graduate Fashion Show, where you will present a collection of outfits to fashion professionals and your family and friends.   You will complete your degree with a professional-standard portfolio that can be presented to potential clients and future employers. This training will develop you into a resourceful, skilful and innovative designer who is ready to establish their identity in the fashion industry.
