The five-year medical degree program at St. George’s University, the premier Caribbean medical school, is designed specifically for students with Advanced Level or International Baccalaureate credentials who have a desire to become a doctor.
Students build on an existing academic background in science with entry-level medical degree coursework in anatomy, physiology, and other foundational sciences.
The beginning medical degree coursework will set our five-year students up for success in the basic science courses and clinical sciences phases of the MD degree program in SGU’s medical school.
Five-Year Entry Qualifications*
3 Advanced Levels: A’s and B’s in Chemistry, Biology, and either Math or Physics
CAPE Units 1 and 2: Minimum grade of 2 in Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Math. If applicant has a 1 at CAPE 1 level in either Physics or Math, then another subject can be considered.
Full IB Diploma with strong grades. 3HL science courses recommended; 2HL required.
Associate degree: 60 credits, or equivalent, with biology, chemistries, and mathematics.
10 + 2 for India and Nepal with a score of 80% in all classes
