Istituto Modartech is an Italian higher academic training centre in the Fashion and Communication fields authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research – MIUR to issue academic degrees in Higher Education in Art, Music and Dance sectors – AFAM.
In addition, the training offer previews courses legally recognized at European level (EQF standard), with a wide educational offer, from fashion to communication design courses, with on campus and online programs as a response to specific needs, aptitudes and goals.
Creativity and talent are guided in an artistic and cultural context which permits to move around in contemporaneity acquiring at the same time specialised and strategic skills.
A complete training and a laboratorial approach which has its strength in the teaching staff coming from the academic and world of work, in a continuous dialogue with the professional world and a constant comparison with the employment world, its planning, times and methods.

An innovative project able to provide the tools for the creation, development and professional presentation of a collection of footwear and bags, from the creation to the market launch. A full immersion in the creative processes of becoming a professional shoe and bag designer, a unique learning experience in Tuscany in the heart of the leather production district. The Footwear and Bag Design Job Master combines Italian craftmanship with innovation, heritage with the most advanced technologies in shoe and bag design.
The 9 months Master permits to express one’s own creativity, providing the instruments for the creation, development and the professional presentation of a footwear and bag collection, in a continuous exchange between traditional training and practical experience. Studying shoe and bag design in Italy is a “must” for any footwear or accessories designer willing to start a career in fashion and the Master offers the opportunity to get in contact with the most important footwear brands for a final internship.

An intensive three-month course, to discover the “making of” a fashion collection, with a strong focus on pattern making and tailoring; participants will discover both traditional and innovative methods of garment design and how to create patterns for various types of garments.
The course plan includes: the basics of design, research for market trends, digital illustration, fashion graphic design, pattern making and tailoring. The objective of the course is to achive technical training for the development of an individual fashion collection.

The CAD Bags and Leather Goods pattern making course is the training course that consents to acquire specialized technical skills in the pattern making field, integrating design proposals with production needs.
Pattern making tradition combined with the latest CAD technologies for the design and manufacture of leather products such as bags, accessories and small leather goods. To access the course are required strong motivation and interest in the leather goods and fashion industry in general, basic computer skills, preparation for manual and group work. A very sought after profession, a key role for businesses developing and producing shoes, the pattern maker implements and coordinates all the phases throughout the entire industrial chain, from design to creation of the pattern with traditional techniques and through the use of the most modern CAD technologies.
