  • This programme with a combined pathway and an integrated foundation focuses on the intersections between fashion buying and marketing. The integrated foundation has been specially designed to give you the introductory knowledge and skills needed to confidently progress to degree-level study.

In your foundation year, you will develop a broad understanding of the creative industries, touching on aspects of fashion design, fashion marketing, illustration, interior design and graphic design.  Once you have successfully completed your foundation year, you will progress to the first year of BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing (Buying).

This combined approach will help you understand the intersections between these two key business functions and teach you to create integrated strategies that attract target markets and increase sales.

This pathway will build your understanding of the fashion market and give you the marketing skills and buying knowledge to work across both disciplines. You will explore key buying and marketing practices and learn how these two functions work together to create engaging design stories across a range of platforms.

In practice, you will draw upon this understanding to create integrated strategies that are consistent with target markets and audiences. Live projects will teach you how to blend creative storytelling with business acumen.  You will explore a range of innovative marketing techniques including the use of influencers and celebrities, social media marketing, collaborations, pop-up stores and brand extensions. The pathway also examines how the product development, buying and merchandising processes work within contemporary fashion business and marketing. This degree will train you to become a visionary fashion marketer or buyer who is able to create a consistent design story from range to rail.
