The Marist-LdM Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design offers a rich experience and an opportunity to acquire industry skills in the areas of design, illustration, textiles, pattern development and digital technology. Marist-LdM four-year degree in Fashion Design is a multifaceted program that lays a solid theoretical foundation which includes the history of fashion and moves on to more practical skills such as developing techniques for fashion figure drawing and discovering how to bring designs to reality. Marist-LdM Fashion Design bachelor students have access to LdM Fashion Department facilities and resources, including a sewing lab equipped with mannequins and industrial sewing machines for learning all the necessary techniques used in realizing designed items. B.F.A. students are provided with the tools for research in all areas of fashion, while computers and professional software give them the edge to operate as future fashion professionals.
