About Course

  • 4 Years
  • Full-time

  • The Marist-LdM Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design focuses on the fundamental concepts of design all the way to the design of spaces and furnishings. The program allows students to build portfolio projects as they gain an understanding of the technical design process and develop the tools for their future in architecture, interior, and product design.

The Marist-LdM Bachelor’s in Interior Design four-year degree curriculum aims to give students an innovative multidisciplinary foundation from the study of classic interior design to contemporary culture and social principles, which are crucial to the professional development of the modern designer.

The faculty is comprised of a team of professional architects, and designers who are dedicated to their profession and seek to share with students their experience and insights into the field of interior design. The faculty ensure that students take inspiration from the city of Florence as they enhance their abilities in sketching and rendering of architecture, interior, and product design. Students also learn to facilitate all phases of a project from concept to finished product by collaborating with different departments, educators, and professionals as they navigate the complexities and challenges of real-world scenarios.

LdM classrooms are designed in a studio format to help interior design bachelor program students through all phases of study and project execution while giving space for creativity. A state-of-the-art computer lab is available for digital design and model construction; facilities contain everything necessary to transform an idea into a reality. Field trips to Florence furniture factories, designer offices, and artist studios offer students hands-on experience in all aspects of Interior Design.
