Arsutoria School is a renowned footwear and accessory design school based in Milan, Italy. Developed within Clarks’ CAD/CAM departments in the 70s in order to increase quality and productivity in the manufacturing processes of its factories, the Classic Shoemaster 2D CAD software is still today one of the best known and most used traditional software in footwear companies, because it guarantees the fundamental digital tools to create and develop technical footwear models quickly and in series.
The computerized visualization of the real model you have created and the technical documentation to support the model that the software itself produces, allows you to adopt a practical and effective method of designing the shoe, which does not replace your model by hand, but simplifies the reproduction of that same model and helps you in the inevitable corrections of the external and internal components of the upper.
Under the guidance of the Arsutoria School teachers, at the end of the Arsutoria School 2D CAD modeling course you will have understood how to use the 2D Classic Shoemaster software, which will allow you to design model shirts suitable for digitization, to obtain components of the shoe such as uppers, linings, reinforcements, templates, insoles, heel wraps, etc..etc …
You will learn theory and rules in the application of size development through the software and export the models to the cutting machines. If you attend the face-to-face course you will have the opportunity to experiment with the cutting of patterns and materials of the uppers.

When you want an IT bag, an iconic bag, what do you really want and why do you want it?
It is not simply the bag product, its manufacture and its design, that captivate you. It is something more ineffable, subtle and bewitching, which makes you want that model and not others.
Here, this is the brand. The brand is the “dream maker” of the desire to buy. The brand generates a dream that you want to dream, because only with that bag will you be more “cool”, more elegant, more attractive in the eyes of the world. The brand tells you the dream of an aesthetic and lifestyle style, which you can achieve simply by purchasing its most desirable items, the bag of the moment, the one you have already seen and heard everything about before buying it.
But how does the brand generate this dream?

Each collection project requires a careful evaluation of aspects that have nothing to do with creativity, style and design, as we commonly understand it. Apparently.
Because Design is first and foremost a product project and a project that works and can evolve profitably over time, requires a deep knowledge of all the aspects that allow the creative idea you had, the collection you thought and designed, to become reality: first prototype, then samples and finally a fully realized, produced, sold collection. The crowning glory of your project.
Product development is planning a strategy that brings your collection project to life and success: it is analysis, calculation, selection and, yes, often also renunciation: materials, components, planning the right product mix and cost evaluation of every single segment must be carefully planned and implemented.
At the end of the Arsutoria School intensive course in Product Development & Costing you will have acquired knowledge on the development process of the collection, its steps, its needs, its criticalities and its costs. Through case studies of companies in the footwear manufacturing world, you will understand the development times and the flexibility required in the product choices and in the most economically adequate solutions, so that your collection has a chance of success.

The sneaker is the iconic shoe of the millennium: global, intergenerational, genderless, it knows no barriers of age, sex, environment or social status. With a pop-culture soul accessible to everyone, it can be worn in formal and informal situations and comes in multiple styles, shapes and versions: evergreen, fashion, high-performance. It is the quintessential go-to shoe.
“Learning by doing” has always been the distinguishing feature of the school’s teaching methodology. The Sneaker Design course has now been reorganised into an optimal mix of online and classroom teaching practices, and has been designed to be used in both ways with the same effective teaching and learning quality.
Teachers will always be present, even for those who attend the course remotely: they will hold video-recorded lessons and webinars, they will assign exercises and a sneaker concept to be developed, correcting and assigning the results and project through revisions and moments of exchange between student and teacher.
At the end of the two-week course, you will be able to develop a sneaker project in its entirety:

3D design represents the link between the creative soul and the technical soul of shoe design.
Born in the late 1950s to support automotive design, through increasingly advanced software, it has evolved over time to become a fundamental tool in the design interaction between designers and technicians. To be able to communicate and visualize a shoe project in a more realistic and complete way and therefore enhance its effectiveness and precision in the technical and style details, you need tools that speak a common virtual and visual language.
This language can be shared by the pattern maker and the designer and which is at the same time highly technical and stylistically realistic in the representation of the project. At the end of the Arsutoria School 3D Design course you will have learned to work with new modern, reliable and, above all, widely used tools in the footwear sector.
You will learn to represent your shoe ideas starting from the shape, through the outsole and arriving at the final renderings, collaborating and exchanging digital files for the technical development of the product from the upper and sole components, which will make the dialogue between everyone easier: designers, technicians and product developers

Design is a fetish word of our era. A word that we often quote and, especially in fashion, we often overlap with the concept of style.
But style is the result of a creative idea transformed into a project, transformed into a design.
And the design is the main technical skill for expressing and bringing to life a creative idea. The designer is an artist. Creativity and specific technical skills allow him/her to put his/her ideas at the service of a project.
