Founded in 1964 in Rome by Rosana Pistolese, costume and fashion historian, as well as costume designer for theater, television and cinema, as well as fashion and costume writer and publicist, with the patronage of the “Ministero del Lavoro e della Provvidenza Sociale”, the Municipality of Rome, ENALC and the “Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana”.

Accademia Costume & Moda provides study courses legally recognized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and falls within the sector of Higher Musical Artistic Education and Coreutica (AFAM).
